Los Gatos Councilmember Barbara Spector is a Harvard-certified mediator and negotiator, currently working with JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services) as a mediator, arbitrator and special master. Barbara graduated magna cum laude from the Santa Clara University School of Law. She was voted “Super Lawyer” three times by the legal community, has received the Bar Association’s highest honor, the Bryl Salsman Award, for volunteer services to the legal profession and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers’ Association.
Barbara Spector has served four terms as Council Member, two terms as Planning Commissioner, and three terms as Mayor in the Town of Los Gatos. She is a member of the Council's Finance Committee, Policy Committee, General Plan Advisory Committee, and the West Valley Clean Water Program Authority.
